CREATE THE PERFECT VACATION AT HOME | NORMALIZE AT HOME VACAYS | BLOGS BY MEME

A nice vacation doesn't always mean spending a bunch of money or traveling far from home. In fact, you can have a perfect vacation right from your home. All you have to do is set the tone and fill your time with enjoyable activities. Here are a few essentials to create the perfect at-home vacay.

 

1. SET THE TONE 

 

The key to feeling more relaxed and enjoying your time off is to set the tone.  At the beginning of your at-home vacay create a comfortable atmosphere by cleaning and organizing. Having a neat and clean home will make you feel more at ease while vacationing.

 

2. BUY ALL YOUR FAVORITE FOODS 

What's a perfect vacay without all your favorite foods?! Go to the store beforehand and stock up on all your favorite meals and snacks. Even if you have yourself on specific diet restrictions, you can use this time to slack up a bit and eat something that you don't eat on a normal day. There's nothing like having the best goodies at your fingertips when it comes to treating yourself with your favorite foods.

 

 

3. SLEEP IN 

One of the best parts of vacationing is not having to be up at the crack of dawn. You can spend this time catching up on sleep and recovering from those early mornings that we all love so dearly. You can even stay up late the night before and sleep in until you feel like crawling out of bed, without having to worry about being late for anything.  

 

4. DO YOUR FAVORITE THINGS 

An at-home vacay is the best time to indulge in your favorite hobbies. You can read that book that has been calling your name from the shelf for the past month (MeMe loves to read lol) or binge-watch that show that you have been too exhausted to watch otherwise. Stay up late and do your favorite things until you just crash and fall asleep because why not?

 

5. PAMPER YOURSELF 

Another way to enjoy an at-home vacation is to pamper yourself. Combine all your self-care routines to create one delightful at-home spa day experience. You can even do all those extra things that you don't usually do for yourself.

 

 

6. MEDITATE / JOURNALIZE  

Use this time of peace and quiet to meditate on things in your life and write in a journal. Think about recent events and the steps that you are currently taking in life. You can also meditate and write about how you want to improve things in your life and new challenges you want to set for yourself.
